SCOTD: Pie Making and Mistakes

This was actually meant to be the self care of the day for Monday. Pie Making.

Monday, I did not feel like making pie. I was tired. I ordered peaches from the Peach Truck (I would recommend if you have never exposed yourself to the delight of a Georgia peach, you need to check them out). I was so tired, I decided to cut my peaches on the couch while watching television..

I made the pie…and I made it incorrectly. Not enough sweetener and flour. The top of the pie was not “cute.” I knew I wanted to share the pie on this blog and then decided against it because the pie didn’t turn out “right.” So much so, I don’t have a pic of the final pie, just right before it went into the oven.

Dis a raggedy pie chile. What’s going on to the left..

But the more I thought about it, and the more I ate the pie the following day I realized that the pie was fine and it’s okay for pie not to be pretty. I made a pie because I wanted to enjoy a treat that I made with my bare hands and because I needed to do something instead of sitting on the couch the whole day. I am glad that I was able to act opposite to my desire to sit (sometimes needed by the way, but not this day, a bit too much in my head) and I should be glad that I made a dry but somewhat good pie and had the resources to do so. So, I am sharing it! Also, if you make a dry pie just put a ton of ice cream on it..and eat it for breakfast and lunch.

This blog won’t be perfect and that’s aight.
